Frequently asked questions

These answers condense the most important functional reading of the manual.

Is Smartdomino only for tournaments?

No. The tournament is a centerpiece, but the platform also covers profiles, community, ranking, notifications, organizations and independent sessions.

Why are the functional map and the process map separated?

The functional map answers what exists and how it is related. The process map answers how a task is performed and what responsibility each actor has.

What is the difference between account and profile?

The account authenticates and manages security. The profile is the operational and visible identity with which a person participates within the platform.

Is sharing the same as publishing?

No. Posting creates content on the wall or feed. Share sends the reference of a record to specific profiles, usually through notifications.

Are the lists for reference only?

No. Several lists also function as workspaces, especially for matches, rounds, administrative profiles or notifications.

Do sessions replace tournaments?

No. Sessions are a lighter form of competitive activity. They coexist with the tournament, they do not replace it.

Is a session a tournament round?

No. The session is an independent event on the same conceptual level as the tournament. A round always belongs to a tournament; a session directly groups its own matches.

What is a circuit for?

To group related editions or tournaments and read them as a historical series. The circuit does not run rounds or change the status of associated tournaments.

Who can create a circuit?

From the website, the owner must activate their own institutional profile and have the corresponding permission. A sports profile cannot act as a proprietary organization.

What is the difference between private and public circuit?

The private one is only visible to its owning organization. The public can be consulted by other profiles and show their visible tournaments.

Why don't I see an administrative action?

Checks the active profile, ownership or delegation over the record, its current status and plan permissions. The account can have multiple profiles, but only the active one defines the operating context.

Are request and invitation to participate the same thing?

No. The request comes from the competitor; The invitation arises from the organization or administration of the tournament. Both go through acceptance states before effective incorporation.

Accepting a participation confirms attendance?

No. Accept authorizes participation. Check-in confirms presence when the tournament is open or active and converts that participation into an operational competitor.

Does automating a tournament mean you don't need supervision?

No. Times and flags authorize automatic transitions, but the administrator is still responsible for reviewing participants, absences, matches, issues and closures.

When is Continue Round used and when is Reset Round?

Continue preserves the created round and advances its execution. Reset regenerates your composition when it is still valid to correct pairings or participants.

Are validating a match and ending a session the same action?

No. The match is validated individually. At the end of the session, the statistics of your validated matches are consolidated.

Why is a session or match reopened?

To correct a result or operational data in a controlled manner. After the correction, the closure or validation must be repeated to leave the history consistent.

Is a foul just a note?

No. It can produce a card, accumulate per player and modify the sporting effect according to the thresholds and penalties configured for the competition.

Does a filter change the official ranking position?

Not necessarily. The filters build a contextual reading by period, circuit, tournament, session or results; the global official position retains its own reference.

Can I link directly to a part of the manual?

Yes. Each article and each relevant subheading retains a stable bookmark. Contextual help will be able to open the article and the exact point related to the current screen.

What should I review before closing an event?

Participants, attendance, incomplete matches, results, absences, validations and chronology. The closing must represent the sporting reality that will feed statistics and ranking.

What is the difference between Follow and Request Friend?

Follow creates an immediate one-sided relationship. Requesting friendship starts a bilateral relationship that is only active when the other profile accepts it.

Do my profiles share friends and followers?

No. Each profile maintains its own connections. Review active identity before following, requesting, accepting, rejecting or posting.

Who can see my pending friend requests?

The profile owner consults them in their Connections tab. An external visitor can see friends, followers and followed profiles, but not received or sent requests.

Why can't I follow or friend a profile?

Check that you have an active profile different from the one visited. If a follow, request, or friendship already exists, the wall displays the corresponding status or action instead of creating another duplicate relationship.

Does following change what I see in Posts?

Yes. Allows you to consult content that the author has limited to Followers and helps build For You reach along with related friends and communities.

Deleting a friend stops following the profile?

No. Friendship and following are independent relationships. Deleting a friendship removes the reciprocal connection, but the following must be changed separately.

What is Now?

It is the dynamic access that brings together the most relevant operational destinations of the active profile: table or matches, tournaments, sessions and pending notifications.

Why doesn't it always appear now?

Only appears when there is a clear action or destination. If you don't have immediate activity, use the entity menu to explore or switch to the profile related to the task you were hoping to find.

Does In Progress within Tournaments mean my tournaments?

No. It is a global stage. To limit the list to your relationship, open Filters and select Participate, Organize or Manage depending on the active profile.

What is the difference between quick filters and advanced filters?

Rapids immediately switch between frequent universes. The advanced ones allow you to combine several criteria and are executed when you click Apply filters.

What is the smart bar for?

Summarizes the set with relevant counters and concentrates Order, Columns, View Mode and access to the Filters panel.

Why don't I see selection or bulk actions in Cards?

Because Cards is intended for reading and browsing. Switch to List to select, edit inline, or apply bulk actions when you have permissions.

What is the difference between Help and Support?

Help explains reusable knowledge through articles and contextual recommendations. Support registers a private case that needs reference, status and follow-up.

Who can view a support request?

The applicant can see their own cases. Authorized agents can manage the set. Another user cannot open or search for another user's request.

Can I attach an image or respond from the Support detail?

Not yet on the current website. Form, list and detail are part of the module; attachments, responses and website reopening remain as partial availability.

Why don't I see the Support menu?

Access requires an account authenticated with the Support User group. If you should use it and it doesn't appear, ask them to review the access assignment.

What can I check without logging in?

When the public interface is enabled you can explore published profiles, visible tournaments, public circuits, rankings and public posts. Social and operational actions require an account.

Why can Explore send me to login?

The public facade has a global gate. If disabled, the visitor goes to access and an authenticated person returns to their operational home.

Why can't I log in after registering?

Accounts created through public registration must verify the email by link or code. Without this confirmation, the platform closes the session and returns to the verification panel.

What happens if I change my account email?

The new email becomes the access account and must be verified again. Confirm the new address before waiting for a normal login.

Does turning off the sound remove my notifications?

No. Notifications remain visible; only the audible alert is deactivated.

What is the difference between a tournament administrator and a platform administrator?

Tournament Manager is a profile that operates sanctioned sporting events. The platform administrator is an account with internal access to users, profiles, plans, permissions, and global catalogs.

Why don't I see the administrative console?

The path /admin/frontend requires the internal super admin group. Having a Tournament Manager profile, hosting an event, or belonging to a club does not automatically grant that access.
