Account, profile, memberships and permissions
This is one of the most important points of the platform because it clarifies how a person enters, from what identity they participate and what they can do within it.
| Concept | What does it represent | What allows | What should not be confused |
|---|---|---|---|
| Account | Personal access to the platform | Enter, maintain your session, take care of your security and choose your language | It is not the visible identity with which other people recognize it within the platform |
| Profile | Operational and social identity | Act as a player, organization, or administrative role | It is not the same as personal access or formal data of an organization |
| Active profile | The identity with which the person is currently participating | Define what options, information and actions appear | Does not always match the only profile that the account has |
| Permissions and plans | Scope and capabilities associated with each profile | Participate, organize, manage or access specific experiences | It's not just about seeing options, but about what can actually be done |
What is perceived in the experience
- The entry accompanies each person according to their moment: creating their identity, resuming an activity or returning to their main space.
- The account has its own space within the menu, separate from the identities with which the person participates.
- The platform allows you to create profiles, switch between identities and manage your own profiles naturally.
- Changing profiles is not just a visual change: it also changes the type of experience available.
Plain Language Memberships
A membership indicates that one profile belongs to another. In practice, it is used for a player to belong to a club, for a club to link with a larger structure or for an organization to manage its own community.
Two complementary readings
My Members shows who belongs to your organization. My Organizations shows which organizations your profile belongs to. This separation helps not to mix belonging with managing.
Conceptual cycle of access and identity
Register account
- The person first creates a account with their access data.
- This step does not yet define how you will participate within the platform.
- The account opens the door, but does not replace the visible identity with which you will later compete or organize.
- Once registered, the person logs in with their account and accesses the main portal.
- If you already have profiles created, you can continue from the identity you have active or change it.
- If you don't already have a profile, the natural next step is to create one.
Create the profile
- The form proposes the account name as a starting point for the new profile.
- First choose the profile type; only then do the compatible plans with that type appear.
- When choosing a plan, the platform displays its summary of services and benefits before creating the identity.
Sports profiles
Player, pair and team are used to compete and leave sports history. They do not tell the same story or show the same type of ranking.
Institutional profiles
Clubs and organizations turn the platform into something more than a sum of players. They allow you to manage members, hold tournaments and build a clear institutional presence.
Administrative profile
There are management profiles to operate tournaments and monitor the activity without confusing this function with the competitive identity of the player.
Social profile and sports competitor
Player, pair and team are profiles, but they also specialize a layer of competitor. The profile provides identity, wall, memberships and relationships; the competitor adds the sports reading that tournaments and rankings consume.
Identity data
- Name, avatar, biography, country, club and social presence.
- Official identifier and alias when applicable.
- Relationships with members, organizations, followers and friends.
Competitive data
- JJ, JG, JP, effectiveness, points, difference, cards, penalties and bonuses.
- ELO, ELO category, level and podiums.
- Specialization as a player, stable pair or team.
Access, email verification and external authentication
Access belongs to the account, not the profile. A single account can operate multiple identities, but they all depend on a single security contract to log in.
Email and password
The email used as login is interpreted without distinguishing upper and lower case letters. After authenticating, the platform directs you to create a profile, an active match or Home depending on the context.
Mail verification
Accounts created through public registration must confirm their address by link or by a six-digit numerical code before entering the portal.
External supplier
Google, Facebook, or other OAuth provider can authenticate an account when enabled. Automatic linking by mail only occurs if the provider declares that address was verified and the local match is unique.
- The manual code expires after fifteen minutes and allows up to five attempts.
- The link and code are invalidated upon successful verification.
- If you change the access email, the account requires verification again.
- If the email is not verified, the platform closes the session and returns to the verification panel.
- An account only natively preserves a bound OAuth identity in the current implementation.
The complete procedure is in Verify the mail and complete the access.
Account maintenance
My account concentrates personal data and preferences that belong to the authenticated person, not to a specific sports or institutional identity.
General
Name, account or email, telephone numbers, language, avatar and notification sound alerts.
Location
Country, city, zip code and addresses associated with the account.
Security
Password change using current password, new password and confirmation.
Memberships, invitations and membership
- An identity can request membership or be invited to an institutional profile.
- In the profile views there is a members tab and a new member invitation flow.
- This allows membership in an organization to be not just declarative, but part of the visible functioning of the system.
My account in practice
- Concentrates visible name, email, telephone numbers and contact information.
- Includes preferred language, avatar and preferences such as notification sound.
- Clearly separates personal maintenance from sporting or institutional identity.
Institutional Memberships
- A profile can request to join or be invited by an organization.
- The members tab concentrates requests, invitations, approvals and statuses.
- Accepted membership can affect access, context, and actions on restricted events.
Permissions and plans in use
- The account enters, the profile acts, the permissions authorize and the plans order capabilities.
- Profile changes are not decorative: they open up different experiences, options and routes.
- This layer also helps understand why the experience changes depending on the chosen identity.
Plans and profile management
Compatible plans
The plans help to organize capacities and conditions of use according to the type of profile. Reading for clients is not technical: it is important to understand what experiences each plan can enable and when it makes sense to change.
Change of plan without losing identity
When a profile changes plans, it retains its visible identity and history. What changes is the scope of use, not the person or organization that already exists within the platform.
Clearer administration
The relationship between profiles, permissions and plans helps explain why an identity can participate, organize, create new identities or access specific experiences.
