What does the order criterion solve?
Before forming tables, Smartdomino first separates competitors by state and group; Within that context the chosen criterion applies. The result determines who occupies each position and, therefore, directly influences the crossings.
Criteria with system logic
- Manual: respects the position assigned to each competitor and orders it in ascending order.
- Random: generates a new permutation of positions among the visible competitors.
- Random without repetition of opponents: tries to avoid recent matchups. In individual mode avoid repeating partners; In pairs and teams avoid repeating opponents. If it doesn't find a valid combination, it uses a simple random.
- Rotate Table: in the first round starts from the competitor's number; then rotate the positions of the previous table counterclockwise to produce new crossovers.
Criteria by statistics
These criteria evaluate fields from left to right. All current components are applied in descending order: the highest value in the first field gains priority first; If there is a tie, the second and then the third or fourth are compared.
- JG/ELO RA/DT: games won, ELO of the current round and point difference.
- JG/DT/TF: games won, score difference and points in favor.
- JG/DT/ELO RA: games won, point difference and ELO of the current round.
- JG/BON/ELO: games won, bonus and overall ELO.
- JG/JJ/DT/TF: games won, games played, score difference and points in favor.
- JG/BON/DT: games won, bonus and score difference.
Meaning of abbreviations
- JG: games won.
- JJ: games played.
- DT: point difference.
- TF: points in favor.
- ELO RA: ELO calculated for the current round.
- ELO: general ELO rating.
- BON: accumulated bonus.
How to choose
Use random or rotation criteria when the main objective is to vary matchups. Use statistical criteria when you want cumulative performance to determine matchups. In final rounds, especially check whether the bonus or ELO should intervene as a tiebreaker.
