A player ranking is built from matches. Matches contain the sports evidence that Smartdomino aggregates to calculate statistics and positions.
The match is the source
Only validated matches from finished tournaments or independent sessions enter the ranking. Tournaments, sessions and circuits provide context, but the statistical data comes from each match.
Filters that define the calculation
The Matches area selects evidence by organization, format, circuit, tournament, session, origin and start date.
The Players area filters those matches through their participants. Country, sex and player organization include a match when at least one participant meets the condition. Specific players and their relationship can require presence, a shared pair or an opposition.
From matches to positions
- Smartdomino selects the matching evidence.
- It accumulates JJ, JG, JP, TF, TC, DT, ELO and events for every eligible player.
- It sorts the resulting rows and assigns their positions.
Result filters do not recalculate
The Results area only locates rows inside the ranking already calculated. Searching for a name or official ID, selecting players to display or applying minimum values does not change their assigned positions.
How to read the counters
- Matches: evidence used in the calculation.
- Events: unique finished tournaments and sessions containing that evidence.
- Players: calculated rows; when Result filters are active, the interface shows how many rows are displayed out of that total.
Example
If you select a country and a circuit, Smartdomino first finds validated matches from finished tournaments in that circuit where at least one participant belongs to that country. It then aggregates only the eligible players and calculates their positions. Searching for one of those players in Results only reveals their row and original position.
